Building on recent triumphs including victories at the 2024 SCORE Baja 400 Presented by VP Racing and the 2023 King Shocks SCORE San Felipe 250 Presented by Baja Vida, Rodrigo Ampudia Jr. continues to demonstrate that age is no barrier to success in SCORE desert racing. At 68, this Ensenada-based veteran maintains championship-caliber consistency that has made him a formidable force in off-road competition.
Part of the legendary Ampudia racing dynasty, Rodrigo Jr. has carved out his own distinguished legacy in the brutal world of Baja desert racing. His recent class victories showcase the driving precision and mechanical expertise that comes from decades of experience navigating the unforgiving terrain of the Baja Peninsula. The 2024 Baja 400 triumph particularly highlights his ability to compete at the highest level against younger competitors, proving that veteran racers possess an irreplaceable combination of skill, patience, and tactical knowledge.
Operating from his home base in Ensenada, Ampudia Jr. brings intimate knowledge of Baja's challenging courses to every race. His sustained success across multiple seasons demonstrates not just individual talent, but the depth of preparation and team coordination required to excel in SCORE's demanding championship series.
